Abyss subwoofers utilize a Hybrid Woofer System, pairing two custom-designed aluminum passive radiators with an active aluminum woofer. This driver layout provides the increased output and lower distortion of a ported design while maintaining the more compact sizing and tighter bass typically associated with a sealed design. While much more difficult to design and engineer, this Hybrid system gives Abyss Series subwoofers the benefits of both sealed and ported designs all in one. This powerful woofer system is backed by the brains of the Vojtko DSP engine, whose best-in-class 500MHz DSP with 64bit processing provides the intelligence needed to control the advanced technologies and up to 1600W of Magnitude amplification on board. Sound Structure
The cabinet plays a critical role in the sound quality of a speaker. Abyss™ subwoofer cabinets are made of 1” thick MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) with additional reinforcement on the woofer baffles and a central brace. This solid construction provides a more stable platform for the high performance woofer to play from, resulting in cleaner, more articulate bass.

Robust Connectivity
In addition to the built-in wireless connection option, Abyss™ 8 and 10 offer incredible wired installation flexibility. With both RCA and XLR LFE inputs, Stereo RCA inputs, Speaker Level inputs, and Sub Out connections, Abyss™ models can be easily integrated into even the most complex systems. Simultaneous connections are also supported.
