Seems to run real nice hooked up to a pair of KLH 5's. Clean, warm and easy to use - What else can I say at this point, not a lot of hours into it yet.
Packages arrived in perfect condition. Nice work on protecting these speakers from the shipping gorillas. The silver 300 7G sound much more detailed then the JBL towers they replaced. I had originally bought the Polk R200 anniversary edition bookshelf speakers but they did not have the soundstage and presence these Monitor Audio units do. thank you Safe and Sound for making the return process easy and getting these Monitor Audio units out right away instead. Awesome Customer Service!
I'm very happy with it. The sound quality is great. The display is really cool and has a lot of options. It takes a little getting used to to navigate the app but once you do it's really good. There are a lot of options for filters and equalizers but I haven't yet explored in depth. I'm happy with it

Tone is warm, subtle but noticeable difference. More inline with analog system connecting my Onkyo CD player to my Marantz 2165 receiver with my Klipsch KG4 speakers.

I have several Denon receivers from multiple generations. I got this one for a second place where I don’t need much power.
It’s my first Marantz, which gave me the opportunity to compare D & M side by side in a room with older B&W 600 speakers, that are spicier. The Cinema did an outstanding job removing the edge overall, softening the high frequencies, while delivering a very detailed midrange and a warm base. It paired much better with these speakers than the Denon. It drove the speakers with music surprisingly well up to my listening level of 67-70db, I was not expecting this performance given the speaker’s efficiency and the cinema’s 50 watts.

Very neutral, revealing, musical headphone amp. Well made, balanced throughout with combo XLR/RCA jack a real bonus. Mates well with better input components. Well-regulated volume control. Works very well with Grado GS3000X headphones. Together, a very natural sounding, revealing and highly musical pair. Imaging left-center-right is very good; front to back average, but with headphones its a challenge anyway. At anywhere near this price point, an excellent performer that doesn't leave much to be desired, especially if realistic & musical presentation is your objective.
Love it with one caveat- None of the vendor info or pro reviews mentioned the high gain. I needed to purchase several (expensive) Rothwell -20db attenuators to get sufficient travel on the volume control. [4-3/4 stars]

I recently upgraded my 5 year old L82's to the newer MkII L82's and I'm glad I did. The MkII's have a bit better treble presence and improved clarity. The same infectious boogie and palpable, tone-rich bass is still very present as it is in the original L82's but w/ a bit better overall balance. The veneer on the MkII's is smoother and I think more attractive than the more textured, and rather cheap looking veneer of the original L82's. Bonus points for the MkII's having quad binding posts for bi-wiring/amping. I immediately bi-wired mine for the fun of it. 4 stars instead of 5 just because these aren't the most resolving speakers (I picked up some BMR Monitors just before getting the MkII's and their RAAL ribbon tweeters really highlight how much treble definition and width is missing from the L82's). I think the trade-off is that the L82's are very forgiving of placement and in my non-ideal listening room that's a major perk. The L82's grab you by the dance muscles and really make listening to most any genre a really satisfying experience. They're absolutely composed at both low and high SPL's and downright deliver aces on the fun scale. Highly recommended.

After I noticed my Definitive center channel was clipping I decided to buy this center channel to go along with my Focal Electra 1027Be's. Turns out it was an excellent decision with the speaker dramatically improving my system.
