If a pair of Evoke 50s in a room doesn't say statement of intent , we don t know what does. Use them in stereo. Use them as part of an Evoke multi-channel home cinema system. However you listen to them, the word epic won t be far from your lips.

Evoke 50 is a full three-way floorstander with a 28mm soft-dome tweeter, a 15cm neodymium midrange driver and twin 18cm woofers.

The new Evoke family will be on-sale in Europe in February 2019. It will arrive in other markets in April.

Come in on a high note
Evoke 50 features Dynaudio s newest tweeter: Cerotar. It s a brand-new, ground-up design that uses key technologies from the award-winning Esotar Forty anniversary tweeter, the awesome new Contour series and the all-singing, all-dancing tech-fest that is the all-new Confidence. Our engineers are very proud of it. As well they should be.

Just underneath the precision-coated dome sits an inner dome: the Hexis. This ingenious device is close enough to the back of the diaphragm that it stops unwanted resonant frequencies reflecting back to the rear of the playing surface. It smooths out the frequency response for clearer, cleaner, sweeter treble meaning more detail, and more of those hey, I don t remember there being a triangle in this piece of music! moments.

The Cerotar is powered by a brand-new strontium carbonate Ferrite+ ceramic magnet system. That gives it more sensitivity, which, in musical terms, translates simply to honesty . You ll hear just what you re supposed to hear. And because it s so smooth and natural, you can listen for hours without getting tired.

Big bottom
Down at the bottom are two 18cm Esotec+ woofers. Like the Cerotar tweeter, they use trickle-down technology from the Contour and Confidence families to bring as much of that high-end DNA to Evoke as possible.

The woofers are made from our own proprietary material, MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer). We ve been using it in our cones for decades and we ve yet to find anything that gives a better balance of lightness, stiffness and damping. If it ain t broke

But while the Evoke 20 standmount speaker uses aluminum in its 18cm woofer, Evoke 50 uses copper. That s because these are pure bass drivers they don t need the fleet-footed agility of a dedicated midrange unit, so we were able to give them more moving mass. The 0.4mm diaphragm is the same, though, as is the Ferrite+ ceramic magnet. That means power and detail. It s just one of the solutions arrived at through extensive analysis and simulation in our Jupiter measuring facility.

Each speaker cone is crafted from a single piece of MSP. This makes them exactly the right amount of rigid and means far less physical distortion when they re playing. It also gives a super-solid physical connection to the glass-fiber voice-coil former on the back (it s glued directly under the Balance Ribs you ll see around the center), which means more of the coil s motion energy is transferred to the diaphragm.

Nomex spiders keep everything centred and moving the way it should, while the new Contour-derived surround allows a longer throw ratio for greater punch.

And, for extra versatility if you rearrange your room or move house, for example the rear-firing bass ports have two-part foam plugs. They offer three levels of tuning: fully open, half-open and fully closed, so you can tailor the speakers bass performance to their position and your room.

Dedicated midrange
Evoke 50 is the only speaker in the family to have a dedicated midrange driver, so the engineers in Dynaudio Labs decided to make it a little bit special. The 15cm unit they chose is derived directly from the high-end Contour range which means a powerful neodymium magnet, a 0.4mm-thin diaphragm and a glass-fiber voice-coil former with a trademark Dynaudio aluminium voice-coil.

Why neodymium and not the Ferrite+ of the woofers Because it's light, and it s powerful. Why aluminium and not copper Again, because it s light (and lets us put more windings in the voice-coil for a given weight). That s a combination that gives our team amazing control over how the driver responds they were able to fine-tune it to integrate perfectly with the woofers and tweeter.

In fact, the Evoke team did such a good job that you essentially are getting Contour-level performance out of this midrange driver.

Simple, honest style
Creating a speaker this large without making it seem bulky and boxy is no mean feat but lead designer Louise Dalgaard met the challenge head on. And then she knocked it out of the park. Evoke 50 was the first in the range to be committed to paper (and then to 3D modelling program, to clay model, to full MDF prototype and finally to The Real Thing).

Louise and her team were adamant that Evoke 50 had to be realistic for real homes and real lives. They drew inspiration from furniture designers, interior-design showcases, show homes, and even sniffed around real-life dwellings to get the look just right.

The result is an instant classic. It s modern, retro, timeless and cutting-edge all at once. It s the kind of speaker you ll still be looking at in 30 years, and thinking to yourself that it makes the rest of your belongings look a little humdrum by comparison.

Evoke 50 is available in four beautiful finishes. Black High Gloss and White High Gloss both use a new lacquering technique that gives a gloriously deep, glass-like look. At the other end of the tactile spectrum are the lovely open natural veneers of Walnut Wood and Blonde Wood.

Plug them in and rediscover your love of music.

I just came back from visiting my big brother out of state who has a system in the mid 5 figure mark. When I came back I was inspired to upgrade but decided to wait. But then my Sub stopped working. I saw these on sale and thought “Is it meant to be?” Of course it was. I have these paired with a NAD T-778 streaming Qobuz. So far I am really enjoying these. I am hearing old songs as if they are new again. I have been listening to music more than ever. Bass is solid and highs are crisp. A truly immersive speaker. While I wouldn’t dare say they are as good as my big brother’s setup, they are close enough to put a smile on my face. I think they are a solid option for the price range. I am very satisfied and they are still breaking in.

Absolute game changer! Love the device - terrific sound quality, intuitive interface and beautiful design!

My amplifier arrived safely and has functioned wonderfully without issue. Thank you!

Reference caliber exotic retro-futuristic LP spinner. Few rivals. Few are so flexible.

I started years ago with an Ortofon Blue and this directly replaced a Mofi Mastertracker. I have coupled the LVB250 with a Darlington MB8 phono preamp and I can finally say that I am satisfied. This cartridge is exceptional and I don't think I'll ever need anything better.

Really good service and extremely fast shipping. Also good price on receiver.

Love the power of it it really feels like the gate way into high end it sounds beautiful happy with your service.Everything was all I hoped it would be thank you

I bought the M2si integrated amplifier to drive my 2.7 magnepans. It does a very nice job of doing just that. That the amplifier is advertised as dipping gracefully or smoothly down to 2 Ohms was a primary point in the buy. Plus, Safe and Sound had a very good buy on this amplifier at $ 799.00. The build quality is very good and it has a large toroidal transformer to better handle high current and increase bass response. The preamp is full Class A and is a strong point for this Class A/B amplifier. Great buy! You can't have it all at this price though. The motorized volume knob does not have an easy viewing of where it is set as it is an inset indention without a light marker. Also, no standby power for the amp but it does have excellent heat management as the chassis has a colder side versus the hotter 2 channel amplifiers side. It is a fully discrete amplifier (wonderful, no integrated except for maybe op-amps at the preamp front). 5 year warranty, hard to beat. The amplifier has to be broken in as treble is at first very forward , but settles after a good break in period. The silver white looks very sexy and has a kind of older vibe. The M2si is British and has a brightness to it which can be toned down if you use the right speakers. Magnepans can change resistor values at the terminals or maybe even use specific DACs. No complaint about not having digital inputs at all since there are plenty of line level inputs as you can use outboards which gives you more opportunities any way. I have three different DACs into the line level inputs so all I have to do is switch out the single coax cable I want to change some of the response. I like a very well made Class A/B like this unit compared to the Class D which I have tried. Soundstage is wide and there is a lot of headroom compared to a lot of class D. If the M2si performs at 90% of what their end does like it has been said, then wow. Way to go Musical Fidelity.

I have all Arcam equipment, the sound is fantastic. The price was amazing.. MusicLife app is so/so. Great piece of equipment..

Safe and Sound is an excellent place to buy audio gear. This phono preamp is excellent, as sounds as advertised and the price was right!

Amazing to deal with and best service on the planet

So pleased with the quality as well as pretty much next day delivery. Great company

Excellent CD player. Very impressed with the quality of the open box service. Absolutely impeccable, couldn’t tell from a brand new unit. Your customer service is also tops. Thanks for great shopping experience!

Amazing sound. Perfectly pairs with the components I have. Vinyl has never sounded better.

Unit sounds great butyou can hear sound bleeding through the speakers and amp at zero volume. Also bind post so small myspade pugs either too large to accommodate. Unit turned off several times, not sure why possible connection but I could not figure out maybe due to heavy load speakers .Ssrvice and sales always fantastic!

Super quick shipment and communications! Always great experience with Safe and Sound! The T8 is amazing! Big improvement over DMP 6!

These outperform my previous speakers by a wide margin: more punch, more body, higher articulation. The vocals are mesmerizing.

I was trying to scale down from a surround to a stereo setup and looking to upgrade DAC from Marantz av8805a. I have the Anthem mca 525 gen 2 amps and Sonus Faber Sonetto iii g2. It took about 70+ to burn in. It was an upgrade, but it is very subtle and hard to even notice unless really paying attention. This does fell like within the territory of diminishing returns. I don't know if it's because of my speakers, but it is the best speaker I can get given the size and weight for a small walkup apartment. However, I still decided to keep it because it is much lighter and runs cooler than the Marantz. It is also a little bit clearer (the Marantz sounded a little bit muddied, which I didn't even notice after years of using until I was comparing it with m3ai) and I noticed that it sounded louder at the same db level because of this (this means I can listen at lower db levels than I would with Marantz). I do miss the ability to fully control the Marantz via the android app. Overall a good DAC, but subtracting a little bit of points for the high price.

I love it! I wish I would have bought one sooner!

So far very satisfied with the speakers. Box arrived damaged but speaker was ok. Definitely an improvement over my 40 year old cerwin Vegas.

I have found the Dynaudio Evoke series of speakers to be exactly what I have been looking for. They are on the "warm" side of the sound spectrum and have truly excellent fit and finish. I use them for both home theater and music.

Amazing AVR!! DIRAC ART is a game changer. If you want the full DIRAC suite Denon or Marantz are your only option outside of much much more expensive equipment from Storm. I have an 7.2.4 set up and decided to treat myself to this AVR over the Denon X6800H. This AVR is gorgeous, even better in person than the photos.

Great performance, beautiful menus, easy setup, both audyssey and Dirac options and support for just about every codec or processing need there is.
