IN-WALL/IN-CEILING LOUDSPEAKER WITH A 4″ FLAX WOOFER
The 300 ICW4 is an in-wall/in-ceiling loudspeaker which blends in perfectly with your décor. It is ideal for listening to stereo sound or for enjoying your favorite film soundtracks as part of a home cinema system. It is also appropriate for reproducing surround sound or even as part of a multi-channel system (5.1, 7.1, 5.1.2 etc.). Thanks to the natural and well-defined mid-range of these loudspeakers, they really enhance the voice of singers and film dialogues.

The 300 ICW4 In-wall/In-ceiling loudspeaker is the most compact model in the 300 Series line. Its discreet design gives it a great size/sensitivity ratio.

This 2-way component loudspeaker is composed of a 4″ (10cm) woofer with a Flax cone and an aluminum/magnesium alloy inverted dome tweeter. Focal’s exclusive Flax technology is based on a flax-based eco-textile. The Flax cone is composed of a flax structure sandwiched between two sheets of glass fibers, giving it impressive rigidity considering its lightness. They’re worthy of the famous W cones used in the Utopia III, Sopra and Electra 1000 Be 2 lines, and produce sound with remarkable neutrality and definition.

SO ORIGINAL FLAX CONE
All the speaker driver cones of the 300 SERIES range are made using Flax sandwich technology. Flax is an eco-textile with astounding structural properties: it is light, rigid and well damped for providing greater neutrality of the timbre and better definition.

TNV2 Tweeter developed for these products uses Focal’s exclusive inverted dome technology, allowing for optimal energy transfer and limited directivity.

SIMPLY COMPOSED
Each 300 ICW is simply composed of two parts: a mounting frame and a loudspeaker. The mounting frame is fixed to the wall or ceiling using mounting brackets which can be manipulate single-handedly. Once the frame has been fixed securely in place, the loudspeaker can be quickly assembled to the mounting frame thanks to a quarter-turn locking mechanism.

One last important point: the magnetic grilles supplied with each product are perfect for quick and easy assembly.

In terms of design, all the products of the 300 Series line come with two types of grilles: a square grille and a circular one, to ensure they blend in perfectly with your interior. Another key aspect of the design is that the grilles are frameless, making them even more discreet and elegant.

EASY INSTALLATION
Today, quality sound isn’t enough to offer a product which meets all the expectations in this market. That’s why Focal has gone one step further by focusing on two new qualities required by built-in loudspeakers: a discreet design and ease of installation.

Assembling the products in this line has never been easier. Installation time is kept to a minimum thanks to the EQI. This ingenuous mechanism allows you to install the products without any tools whatsoever.
