Arcam’s New Streaming Integrated Amplifiers SA35 & SA45 Deliver Beauty and Brawn

At our retail store, we’ve always appreciated when high-performance gear also brings real-world ease of use to the table. That’s why we’re excited to talk about Arcam’s newest additions to their integrated amplifier lineup: the SA35 and SA45 streaming amplifiers. These are not just amps but rather they are the centerpiece of a full high-end audio system, packed into a sleek chassis that fits right at home in both traditional two-channel setups and modern streaming environments.

Arcam’s reputation for clean, musical sound goes back decades, and the SA35 and SA45 proudly carry that tradition forward. Both amps use Arcam’s proprietary Class G amplification, which delivers the finesse of Class A at low levels and the power of Class AB when the music demands it. That means you get rich detail, dynamic punch, and smooth highs without ever feeling like the amp is straining. Demanding speakers are powered effortlessly.

In our show room, both models brought out a beautiful sense of depth and warmth across a variety of speakers. Whether it was jazz, classic rock, or high-res acoustic tracks, these amps delivered a relaxed yet revealing sound that’s easy to live with for hours.

This is where Arcam really gets it right – both models come with built-in streaming via the Arcam Radia app , which means you can easily stream music from your favorite services like Spotify, Quobuz, TIDAL, Amazon Music, and more, all from your phone or tablet. They also support AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Bluetooth, and are Roon Ready.

SA35 vs SA45 – Which One’s Right for You?

The SA35 is the sweet spot for most of our customers – it delivers 120W per channel (into 8 ohms), enough to drive most speakers with confidence, and it includes all the modern streaming and connectivity features you could want.

Step up to the SA45, and you’re getting 180W per channel along with upgraded internal components and power supply. It's better suited for large rooms, inefficient speakers, or for those who just want that extra headroom and authority. It also has a larger display at 8.8 inches compared to 6.5 inches on the SA35.

Both units feature the high end ESS Sabre ESS9038K2M DACs, multiple digital and analog inputs, HDMI ARC for TV integration, and even a built-in MM phono stage for your turntable. Arcam hasn’t left anything out.

Our Breakdown - What we love most about these models.:

Elegant Design – understated but premium; these amps look just as good as they sound.

Simple Control – whether you’re using the app, remote, or front panel, it's intuitive.

Future-Proof Features – with HDMI, streaming, Roon, and high-res support, these are ready for the long haul.

If you’re looking to build a serious two-channel system with modern streaming convenience built right in and without sacrificing sonic performance, then the Arcam SA35 and SA45 should be at the top of your list. They’re the kind of amps we’re proud to recommend and personally enjoy here in the shop. Swing by and hear them for yourself – we think you’ll be as impressed as we are.
